Craig Park Located just one block west of Alternate U. S. 19 and Tarpon Avenue, this historic park is the centerpiece for the City and its heritage. This City operated park winds its way around Spring Bayou, the location of the annual celebration of the Epiphany each January. Spring Bayou is the winter home of a group of manatees, numbering up to a dozen in recent seasons. Also located at Craig Park is the City’s Heritage Center, a cultural and historical museum that is currently in the planning stages. The Center will be located in a building formerly occupied by the City’s Library after it is refurbished. The Park also has tennis facilities, a band shell, and recreation center and is the site of several annual events.
